For today's project I decided to take part in the Scrap Our Stash Challenge, Tic Tac Toe.
I came in straight across the bottom. In total I used 9 brads, 4 wood veneer stars, and twine is featured in 2 places. Not too shabby.
This features a lot of Elle's Studio Cameron with a good dose of Doodlebug Boys Only. The companies actually work very well together since they both generally feature bright clean designs. The two background papers are actually quite old, the orange is from SEI and the graph is from Scenic Route. It felt really good to use up a couple of papers that are easily 5+ years old. I'm not sure if it translates well in the photo but I did mat my main panel with some Studio Calico vellum from the Atlantic collection. It gives a nice subtle look in person and takes the star theme even farther.
This was one I really wanted to get more use out of my stash and one item that has been just sitting are my Copic markers. For this layout I had the perfect font, the Kensie thickers font, but the color was wrong. In stepped the a couple of copic markers and now I have a funky font in a couple of cute colors. I also used the same colors on some wood veneer stars to take the color scheme even farther.
All in all it's a page I'm very proud of, both for stash usage and the clean graphic look.
Thanks for stopping by.
